The preparatory courses of the The Center for Pre-University Preparation and Professional Guidance operate in the following areas:
- training of students of preparatory courses in order to prepare them for the entrance tests in the form of an exam and centralized testing in such disciplines as: mathematics; Russian; English; history of Belarus; social studies.
The training of applicants is conducted in accordance with programs developed on the basis of university entrance test programs and school programs for senior classes approved by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
Throughout the academic year, teachers, together with students, analyze mistakes and work out the most difficult topics that require special attention; conduct ongoing consultations in order to improve skills and develop abilities for completing test tasks.
- training of foreign students of preparatory courses in order to prepare for the final exams in the following disciplines: Russian as a foreign language; Russian as a foreign language: professional vocabulary; mathematics; economic theory; digital literacy curriculum; history of Belarus.
The training is based on programs developed on the basis of standard programs of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus and approved by the scientific and methodological Council of the University.
Foreign students who successfully pass the final exams in the subjects studied receive a certificate of the established sample and are enrolled at the 1st or 2nd stage of education without exams.
During the training process, teachers help foreign students
- adapt to new learning conditions at BSEU and new living conditions in an unfamiliar country;
- decide on the choice of profession, with specialties offered by university faculties at the 1st and 2nd levels of education;
- get acquainted with the history and culture of the Republic of Belarus and its capital –Minsk.teaching university students in educational courses in the following disciplines: Russian; English; mathematics.

Teachers created a holistic system to test the knowledge of students through thematic, current and final knowledge control.
It makes possible to constantly monitor the assimilation of the material studied by both Belarusian and foreign students.
The preparatory courses for CE and CT annually update the educational and methodological complexes of the disciplines studied in accordance with changes in the subject and structure of the tasks in CE and CT.
