V International scientific and practical conference "Current vectors of Belarusian-Chinese trade and economic cooperation" in BGEU
On December 18, 2024, the V International Scientific and Practical Conference "Current Vectors of Belarusian-Chinese Trade and Economic Cooperation" was held at BGEU. The conference was held as part of the activities of the Confucius Cabinet of the BSU RICC at BGEU, which has been operating since 2013 on the basis of the Faculty of International Business Communications.
The conference was attended by more than 70 researchers from the Republic of Belarus, the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, representing Belarusian and foreign higher education institutions, research institutions, as well as industrial and commercial companies. The issues of the conference aroused great interest among young Chinese researchers. Thus, the conference was attended by 55 teachers from the Republic of Belarus, 5 teachers from Shanghai (PRC), 10 graduate and master's students (PRC), who are studying or working in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation (2 people). The opening of the plenary session of the conference was attended by Tozik Anatoly Afanasyevich, Director of the Republican Institute of Sinology named after Confucius, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Chairman of the Belarus-China Friendship Society; Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the UO "BSEU" Morozevich Olga Anatolyevna; General Director of the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Nabeshko Sergei Vladimirovich. The plenary session of the conference presented the results of research by scientists of the UO "Belarusian State Economic University" devoted to issues of foreign economic policy in the era of global challenges (speaker: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Professor of the Department of World Economy, Doctor of Economics, Professor Rudy Kirill Valentinovich); understanding new opportunities for economic cooperation in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (speaker: Turban Galina Vladimirovna, head of the international business department, candidate of economic sciences, associate professor), on the concept of marketing in the development of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation (speaker: Golik Vadim Sergeevich, head of the marketing department, candidate of economic sciences, associate professor).
Yurova Natalia Vyacheslavovna, head of the department of international economic relations of the Belarusian State University, spoke about the prospects of Belarusian-Chinese economic cooperation in the context of the participation of the Republic of Belarus in the SCO, thereby continuing the discussion on the topic presented by Turban G.V.
Dudarenok Anton Sergeevich, (Foreign Policy Department of the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies), presented a report on the strategies of China's technological leadership in modern conditions. Professor Smolik Alexander Ivanovich, head of the Department of Cultural Studies of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, presented the Belarusian-Chinese scientific school of cultural studies and announced the main areas of research and further prospects for cooperation. After the plenary session, graduate and master's students from China presented their reports at the round table. The greatest interest was aroused by reports on the issue of digital transformation of the economy from the point of view of the experience of the Republic of Belarus and China and how the relationship between the cosmogonic myths of Belarus and China reflects the general patterns of perception of chaos and order in different cultures, how these myths influence the formation of rituals and worldviews in two ethnic groups.
Based on the reports presented by the conference participants, it is planned to publish a collection of articles.
