The Department of Accounting, Economics and Law

The Department has been operating as part of the Institute for Advanced Training and Retraining of Economic Personnel since September 1, 2020, having been formed through the merger of two departments: "Accounting, Control, and Finance" and "Entrepreneurial Economics and Law."

The first Head of the Department was Dmitry Grigoryevich Tsygankov (Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor). Currently, the Department is headed by Olga Vitalyevna Bodakova (Candidate of Legal Sciences).

The Department of Entrepreneurial Economics and Law was established in September 2000 within the specialized "Consulttorgcenter" faculty. Its first Head was Galina Alexandrovna Shmarlovskaya (Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor). Subsequent heads included Natalia Nikolaevna Skriba (Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor), Tamara Stepanovna Yatskovskaya (Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor), Oksana Vasilyevna Vernikovskaya (Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor), and Tatyana Gennadyevna Zorina (Doctor of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor).

The Department of Accounting, Control, and Finance was founded in 2002. Its first Head was Oleg Alexandrovich Levkovich (Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor). From December 2010, the Department was headed by Svetlana Konstantinovna Matalitskaya (Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor).

The Department’s staff includes associate professors and Candidates of Sciences with extensive experience in research, teaching, and professional practice. Highly qualified lecturers from BSEU and other educational institutions, as well as industry practitioners, are engaged on a part-time basis.

The Department of Accounting, Economics, and Law serves as the graduating department for higher-education-level retraining specialties and facilitates the educational process for programs covering retraining, advanced training for executives and specialists, internships, and training courses. The Department is responsible for developing and maintaining educational standards and model curricula for the retraining specializations of "Banking," "Accounting and Analysis," "Logistics," "Marketing," "International Marketing," "Economics of Foreign Economic Activity," and "Economics and Management in Entrepreneurial Activity."
