Visit of the Minister of Education Andrei Ivanets to BSEU

On December 21, as part of the Unified Information Day, BSEU was visited by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Belarus Andrei IVANETS.

Andrei Ivanets met with the leadership of the university, deans of faculties and deputy deans for educational work. Theme of the meeting: “Political security as the basis of socio-political stability of a sovereign state. The 2024 election campaign in new legal conditions.” In addition, the development of new areas of interuniversity international cooperation was discussed.

- As the President of the Republic of Belarus has repeatedly emphasized, our country remains an island of security, peace and tranquility in difficult geopolitical conditions. And today we are actively looking for new markets - an example of this is the visits of the Head of State to the People’s Republic of China and the building of all-weather relations, the successful development of the African continent, the Minister noted.

Separately, the Minister of Education emphasized that in the Year of Quality, the Ministry of Education will implement the Concept of Ensuring the Quality of Education, which also includes effective interaction with personnel customers. “Intelligence, technology and personnel are the components of the development of our country’s economy, and in this regard, quality control of education and training of specialists will reach a fundamentally new level in 2024,” emphasized Andrei Ivanets.

In addition, the Minister emphasized the 2024 election campaign and the importance of ideological work with young people and increasing electoral literacy. Innovations in the admissions campaign for the 2023/2024 academic year also became a relevant topic for dialogue with the leadership of the university and faculties.

At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Education answered all questions from those present, congratulated them on the upcoming holidays and wished them successful fruitful joint work in 2024.
