The delegation of the Belarusian State Economic University laid flowers at the Khatyn Memorial Complex

The Great Patriotic War brought an unimaginable amount of suffering to our land. Punishers who knew no mercy destroyed hundreds of civilians every day, burning entire settlements along the way. In total, the Nazis carried out over 140 major punitive operations in Belarus. 9,200 villages and hamlets were burned, 5,295 of them burned down along with their inhabitants. This part of the genocide policy was called “scorched earth” - during the three years of occupation, 2,230,000 Belarusian residents became its victims.

Representatives of our delegation noted that there can be no future without the past. The Khatyn bell and its alarm bell are a memory and a warning to the whole world: the disaster that happened here should never happen again!
