The BSEU hosted the conference "Eurasian View on topical issues of Philology, Translation Studies and Linguodidactics"

On April 17, 2024, the grand opening of the II Eurasian Scientific and Practical Conference "EURASIAN VIEW ON TOPICAL ISSUES OF PHILOLOGY, TRANSLATION STUDIES AND LINGUODIDACTICS", dedicated to the formation of modern humanitarian knowledge in the Eurasian space, took place in an online format.

The Belarusian State University of Economics has become one of the international platforms for Eurasian cooperation, scientific and pedagogical workers of higher educational institutions, translators, teachers and teachers of foreign languages and Russian as a foreign language of secondary general education and secondary vocational institutions, graduate students, undergraduates and students were invited to participate in the conference. The format of the conference is full-time / part-time and remote.

The purpose of the conference is to intensify the exchange of information and experience between young and well-known scientists from Eurasian countries, the formation of a Eurasian scientific humanitarian community that promotes the development of humanitarian research in Eurasia and beyond in the field of linguistics, translation studies, didactics, linguoculturology and pedagogy.

This conference was held within the framework of the working program of the cooperation agreement between the Department of English and Oriental Languages of the Faculty of International Business Communications of the Belarusian State University of Economics (BSEU, Minsk) and the Department of Foreign Languages and Culture (graduate department) of the Russian State Social University (RSSU, Moscow).

The conference was opened by OLGA MOROZEVICH, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor, wishing the participants productive work at the plenary and breakout sessions.

At the plenary session on key aspects of philology, translation studies and linguodidactics, reports from teachers from China, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Belarus were heard. Current issues of language vocational training in higher educational institutions were raised by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Foreign Languages and Cultures, Chairman of the Dissertation Council on the scientific specialty 5.8.7 Methodology and Technology of Vocational Education, LARISA AKHUNZHANOVA APANASYUK (FSUE VO "RGSU", Moscow, Russian Federation). ELENA ALEKSANDROVNA MALASHENKO, Head of the Department of English and Oriental Languages, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor, (BSEU, Belarus), told about the problems of assessing students' knowledge and methods of identifying the contribution of artificial intelligence in her report. The topics presented in the reports are key in the context of modern education in the Eurasian space.

Reports were also presented at the plenary session:

LIU BO, PhD in Philology, spoke about drama as a factor in improving the professional skills of philologists based on the concept of cultural identity, (Dalian Polytechnic University; Confucius Republican Institute of Chinese Studies BSU, Minsk, RB.);

YURIEVA ELENA ALEKSEEVNA suggested discussing the peculiarities of the origin and translation of terminologisms (FSUE VO "RGSU", Moscow, Russian Federation);

YULIA VIKTOROVNA MOLOTKOVA presented the content of teaching Chinese hieroglyphic writing to students of language specialties at the initial stage (Republican Institute of Chinese Studies named after Confucius BSU, Minsk, RB);

AKATAYEVA INDIRA NAGASHYBAEVNA spoke about the analysis of the linguistic and didactic features of design and research activities in Russian language lessons (Aktobe Regional University, Aktobe, Kazakhstan).

The conference program was continued in various sectional areas, and the completion of the work was the organization of a round table on the topic: "Tribune of a young scientist: new approaches to the problems of modern philological and methodological research in the Eurasian context". 1st place was taken by Maria Alexandrovna Proskurova, 2nd year
