"Memory of Generations"

"We are the youth of Belarus... Born in a proud country, we sacredly honor the merits of our ancestors who died in a terrible war..." - from these words of the youth anthem, written by a retired colonel, employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Kamenev V.P. On March 13, the socio-economic faculty of the Belarusian State University of Economics, together with the Military Academy of the Republic of Belarus, the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Secondary School No. 26 of Minsk named after Z.G. Kolobanov, held a series of information and educational events "Memory of Generations".

The events were held as part of the large-scale project "80 Steps to Victory", which received a grant from the RPO "Belaya Rus".

The grand opening of the event took place with the participation of the dean of the SEF Buyeva A.O., lieutenant colonel Gorodnichenko A.N., associate professors of the Department of Philosophy and Ideological Work of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Nekrashevich F.A., Barsuk I.A. Also, the event was attended by students of the secondary school No. 26 of Minsk named after Z.G. Kolobanov, cadets of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Military Academy, students of the socio-economic faculty of the Belarusian State Economic University, as well as a student of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Culture of the Belarusian State University of Economics, Yana Vyal with the song “Vozvrashchayus”.

The program consisted of several stages: MediaABC, a quiz and a Debate League, the topics of which touched upon the memory of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, the problems of preserving historical memory in the post-Soviet space, issues of national identity and state security.

The main result of the events was the strengthening of ties between generations, friendly relations, as well as the understanding that our youth fully corresponds to the final words of the anthem written by V.P. Kamenev:
"We study, we love, we dream,
We want to live happily!
We, the youth of Belarus,
Keep our Motherland in our hearts!"
