First steps in the profession: my story begins with BSEU

"BSEU was not just my first place of work — it became my launching pad, a place of growth, creativity and self-confidence".

Maria Sheiko has been working at the Belarusian State University of Economics for seven months now — she leads an instrumental ensemble at the student club. This is her first professional experience, which she successfully combines with her studies at the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, where she is mastering the specialty "Instrumental performer (violin)".

Today, Maria continues her creative development as a performer and at the same time applies the knowledge she has gained in real practice. Working at BSEU is not only rehearsals and concerts, but also active participation in the cultural life of the university: festive events, city events and creative competitions.

At the moment, she is preparing to represent the university at the republican competition "SuperPROFI" — an important step that opens up new horizons. "I like this kind of activity - it's a unique experience," notes Maria.

Maria considers communication with BSEU students who study in completely different fields - economics, management - to be one of the special aspects of her work. This broadens her views and enriches her horizons:
"I learn a lot of new things. This helps me to look at the world more broadly and feel like a part of something bigger".

Among the key values of the work, Maria notes the team:
"The team turned out to be excellent: responsible, understanding people who are always ready to help and support. This motivates me to move forward".

The girl is already considering the possibility of continuing her career at BSEU after completing her studies, because it was here that she first felt like a part of a real professional community.

"Be bold and proactive. Don't be afraid to ask for help and show yourself - this will open up more for you than you expect," advises Maria to those who are on the threshold of their professional path.
