Three Days as a BRSM Activist at BSEU

Maria Khvorak is a third-year student at the BSEU branch of NTEK and the secretary of the BRSM primary organization at the college. She is actively involved in the youth movement, helping organize events and supporting the students' initiatives. But after participating in the "Three Days as a BRSM Activist at BSEU" project, her view of BRSM's potential has broadened even further—she now knows for sure that she wants to continue her studies at BSEU and develop as part of the team at a new level.
Along with three college students, Maria joined the university BRSM team for several days. The program was packed with excursions, meetings, discussions, and real-world projects.
"We didn't just come to see things. We got involved. We accomplished a lot in three days: we visited the Minsk Automobile Plant Museum, the Trostenets Memorial, stopped by the Fauna Goroda shelter, attended a hockey match for the Presidential Team, and participated in other activities," says Maria.
She was particularly impressed by the university itself. "This was our first time at BSEU, and everything was much more ambitious than I imagined. There's always something going on here—meetings, events, student flows. I liked the atmosphere, the organization, the people. I definitely want to study here—if not full-time, then part-time," she shares.
The "3 Days of a BRSM Activist at BSEU" project isn't just an introduction to BRSM. It's an opportunity to get involved in real work and try out new roles: "We saw how everything is organized at the university. It's a completely different level. And it's motivating."
Such projects, according to Maria, are truly inspiring. They show how much can be accomplished if you don't sit on the sidelines. BRSM opens up access to opportunities that many don't even know exist. And if you're not yet involved, she advises not putting it off—just try and get involved. Here are three reasons why it's worth it:
- BRSM is a team that will support you;
- Here you can find something you love, from volunteering to media;
- It's a chance to realize your ideas and be heard.
