XVI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum at BSEU

On April 1, the XVI Eurasian Economic Youth Forum was held at the Belarusian State University of Economics.

The Forum was held in a combined in-person and remote format. Participants defended their papers in the following competitions:
- International Research Competition for Young Scientists and Students "Corporate Governance, Business Sustainability (ESG), and Development Projects";
- International Essay Competition for Young Scientists and Students "Modern Trends in Global Economic Development."

Representatives of the Council of Young Scientists served as Forum experts:
Kirill Igorevich Kostinevich, PhD in Political Science, Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science;
Maria Sergeevna Ponomareva, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting, Analysis, and Audit in Trade, Transport, and the Agro-Industrial Complex;
Daria Evgenievna Samusevich, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Professionally Oriented English Speech;
Anna Nikolaevna Tochko, Senior Lecturer in the Department of National Economy and Public Administration;
Anna Leonidovna Ivanovskaya, Chair of the Young Scientists Council and Assistant Professor in the Department of Accounting, Analysis, and Audit in Trade, Transport, and the Agro-Industrial Complex.

Based on the results of the International Competition of Research Papers for Young Scientists and Students "Corporate Governance, Business Sustainability (ESG), and Development Projects," the following places were determined:
1st place – Nikita Denisovich Shugaev, Lada Olegovna Moroz, and Darya Vladimirovna Novikova. Competition paper: "A Green Development Trajectory for Belarus: Between Economic Growth and Environmental Responsibility" (FEM)
2nd place – Vladislav Nikolaevich Stelmakh. Competition entry: "Financial Mechanisms for Forming State Investment Resources Based on Digital Assets: The Role of Industrial Mining" (P. M. Masherov Vitebsk State University)
3rd place – Valeria Evgenievna Solovieva, Elizaveta Stanislavovna Zhodik, and Ekaterina Grigoryevna Ryzhevich. Competition entry: "Creating a Mobile Assistant App 'VKurse'" (FEM)

Based on the results of the International Essay Competition for Young Scientists and Students "Modern Trends in Global Economic Development," the following places were determined:
1st place – Maxim Olegovich Vilkotsky. Essay on "Digitalization of Society in Central Asia: Social Risks and Opportunities Under the Influence of External Technological 'Soft Power'" (Belarusian State University)
2nd place – Anna Anatolyevna Kisel. Essay on "The Salvation Paradox: Why We Must Delegate Routine Work to AI to Remain Human" (UEF)
3rd place – Alexandra Dmitrievna Dedeyko. Essay on "Water Resource Scarcity as a Threat to Social Sustainability" (FEM)

The winners of the competition will be sent to the Ural State University of Economics from April 21 to 26 to participate in the finals of the 16th Eurasian Economic Youth Forum.
