BSEU Acted as an International Platform for the 16th Eurasian Economic Forum of Youth

The Belarusian State Economic University (BSEU) served as one of the international platforms for the 16th Eurasian Economic Forum of Youth – a large-scale scientific and educational project bringing together students, young scholars, experts, and representatives of the university community from various countries. In 2026, BSEU hosted the Forum’s competitive events aimed at developing youth research activity, supporting scientific initiatives, and expanding international academic cooperation.
As part of the BSEU platform, the following events were organized and held:
- International Competition of Research Papers by Young Scientists and Students "Corporate Governance, Business Sustainability (ESG), and Development Projects";
- International Essay Competition for Young Scientists and Students "Contemporary Trends in Global Economic Development";
- International Online Olympiad "Economics and Finance of a Polycentric World".
Following the competitive events, participants presented research papers and essays addressing current issues of sustainable development, digitalization, financial mechanisms, social sustainability, environmental responsibility, and contemporary trends in the global economy.
On April 23, the awards ceremony for first-place winners took place in Yekaterinburg at the Ural State University of Economics. BSEU was represented at the ceremony by Anna Leonidovna Ivanovskaya, Chairperson of the BSEU Council of Young Scientists.
The awards ceremony for second and third-place participants was held at the Belarusian State Economic University. The winners and prize-winners of the competitive events are:
International Competition of Research Papers by Young Scientists and Students "Corporate Governance, Business Sustainability (ESG), and Development Projects"
- 1st place – Nikita Shugaev, Lada Moroz, Daria Novikova, Belarusian State Economic University, Faculty of Economics and Management. Paper topic: "Green Trajectory of Belarus's Development: Between Economic Growth and Environmental Responsibility."
- 2nd place – Vladislav Stelmakh, Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov. Paper topic: "Financial Mechanisms for Forming State Investment Resources Based on Digital Assets: The Role of Industrial Mining."
- 3rd place – Valeria Solovyova, Elizaveta Zhodik, Ekaterina Ryzhevich, Belarusian State Economic University, Faculty of Economics and Management. Paper topic: "Development of a Mobile Assistant Application 'Vkurse'."
International Essay Competition for Young Scientists and Students "Contemporary Trends in Global Economic Development"
- 1st place – Maksim Vilkotsky, Belarusian State University. Essay topic: "Digitalization of Society in Central Asia: Social Risks and Opportunities Under the Influence of External Technological 'Soft Power'."
- 2nd place – Anna Kisel, Belarusian State Economic University, Faculty of Accounting and Economics. Essay topic: "The Paradox of Saving: Why We Must Delegate Routine to AI to Remain Human."
- 3rd place – Alexandra Dedeiko, Belarusian State Economic University, Faculty of Economics and Management. Essay topic: "Water Resource Scarcity as a Threat to the Social Sustainability of Society."
BSEU's participation in the 16th Eurasian Economic Forum of Youth as an international platform represents a significant contribution by the university to the development of youth science, the strengthening of academic ties, and the promotion of research initiatives among students and young scholars.
