Information and Educational Marathon "Vybirai.BY" at BSEU
The information and educational marathon "Vybirai.BY", dedicated to the Year of the Belarusian Woman, was held at the Belarusian State Economic University (BSEU) with the participation of the Youth Council of the Central Election Commission.
The marathon brought together students majoring in Political Science — future specialists focused on a deep understanding of the mechanisms of society and state functioning, as well as an awareness of the individual's role in socio-political processes.
Yulia Sergeevna Milovzorova, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Socio-Economic Sciences at BSEU, addressed the participants with a welcome speech, highlighting the importance of understanding the role of women in the history of Belarus. The announced topic was further developed within the discussion platform "The Experience of Women's Participation in the Electoral Process: History, Traditions, Future".
During the discussion, key stages in the formation of women's political and electoral rights were examined, with an emphasis on national experience and current trends. The speakers included members of the Youth Electoral Club "Vybir" as well as BSEU students.
One of the central elements of the marathon program was a tournament based on the educational board game "Vybir.BY". In an interactive format, participants immersed themselves in simulating the electoral process: they developed campaign strategies, made decisions under resource constraints, and responded to unexpected political challenges. The game helped consolidate knowledge about the electoral system and develop public communication skills.
The winners of the tournament were awarded quality certificates, and all participants gained valuable experience, new knowledge, and inspiration for further social activism.
