BSEU Hosts Rector's Meeting with Staff

On August 31, the Belarusian State Economic University hosted the traditional meeting of Rector Alexey Vladimirovich Egorov with representatives of the staff. The event became a key milestone in preparation for the new academic year and an important platform for summing up the university's performance in the 2025/2026 academic year.
Opening the meeting, Alexey Vladimirovich congratulated the staff on the start of the new academic year, expressing gratitude for their coordinated work and dedication to the common cause. "Despite the challenging situations that arose during the academic year, we have overcome these difficulties. Our team has long been established, and our greatest achievement is that we do not find ourselves without good specialists," the Rector emphasized.
In his report, Alexey Vladimirovich elaborated on the key results of the 2026 admission campaign. The admission targets were met in full: 3,109 students were enrolled in general higher education programs, 108 in advanced higher education, and 275 in secondary specialized education. Among the first-year students, there are 243 college graduates with honors diplomas, 415 medalists, and two winners of international and republican Olympiads and competitions.
The Rector paid special attention to the quality of education. Graduate satisfaction monitoring showed over 70% positive assessments, while employer satisfaction reached 82.6%. "This is recognition of the enormous work of our teaching staff above all," Alexey Vladimirovich emphasized.

The electronic library fund increased by nearly 4,000 copies and today comprises 78.5 thousand documents.
Speaking about cooperation with employers, the Rector noted that 331 practitioners were involved in conducting classes, 534 graduation theses were completed on topics coordinated with enterprises of the real economy sector, and 44 department branches are currently operating.
One hundred percent of state-funded graduates were assigned and provided with their first job. "We not only educate, but also guarantee a professional future for our graduates," Alexey Vladimirovich emphasized. All master's graduates were placed in the fields of science, innovation, and education.
The Rector noted an increase in the number of honors diplomas – in 2026, 108 graduates received them (compared to 92 in the previous year).
Considerable attention was paid to the university's international activities. The geography of cooperation has expanded: 17 new cooperation agreements were signed with universities from India, Kazakhstan, China, and Russia. A total of 175 cooperation agreements are currently in force, including with Serbia, Korea, Zimbabwe, Brazil, and Cuba. The export of educational services reached 111% of the target.
