On the Eve of Donor Day, BSEU Hosted an Open Lecture "Saving Lives Together"

28.09 Belarus State Economic University hosted a lecture titled "Saving Lives Together," dedicated to the topic of blood donation. Students met with an expert to learn about the importance of donation, preparation rules, and its health benefits.

The lecture was delivered byYulia Chabanenko, a representative of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Transfusiology and Medical Biotechnologies. During the meeting, she spoke in detail about why hospitals need blood components every day and how a single short procedure helps doctors save the lives of several people at once.

The lecture covered detailed instructions on how to properly prepare for blood donation so that the procedure is easy and safe for the body. The speaker explained that any healthy citizen aged 18 to 65 without medical contraindications can become a donor. Students learned about the specific diet to follow the day before and how the body quickly and safely restores blood levels.

At the end of the meeting, participants were able to ask questions about the first-time donation process and the benefits that donors receive. BSEU students will be able to show solidarity and help those in need very soon:the next University Donor Day is scheduled for October 8.
