BSEU Takes Part in the First Forum of Women Scientists

On 25 September, a delegation from the Belarus State Economic University took part in the First Forum of Women Scientists, "The Role of Women in Science and Education." The large-scale event was held in the capital at the venues of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and BSU and brought together about 300 participants.

The university delegation was led by the Vice-Rector for Research of BSEU, Doctor of Economics, ProfessorAlexey Alexandrovich Bykov. Together with him, the university was represented by young women scientists — bright representatives of a new generation of researchers who not only advance domestic economic science but also successfully integrate advanced innovative methods into the educational process.

One of the main events of the forum was the plenary session at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The Head of the Department of World Economy at BSEU, Doctor of EconomicsElena Nikolaevna Petrushkevich, addressed the participants. Her report, "The Role of the Belarusian Woman in Higher Education," was devoted to key trends in the development of modern higher education and the significant contribution of women researchers to the intellectual future of the country.

Particular attention in the speech was given to the intellectual future of the country, whose creators are increasingly women scientists. The speaker emphasised that state support for women in the academic environment is a priority for the development of science. The data presented in the report clearly demonstrate the growing role of women in the management of higher education. Women scientists head the leading scientific and pedagogical schools of the republic, ensuring the continuity of academic traditions and creating promising avenues for the professional development of young researchers.

Participation in the forum confirmed that BSEU remains the main centre for training the country's leading economic professionals. The university not only teaches but actively supports women researchers, creating all the conditions for their scientific and professional breakthroughs.

The forum became a platform for discussion and an impetus for further development. It was of particular importance for the university's novice researchers: at the sessions, postgraduate students and young scientists received practical advice from established women scientists.
