Dialogue platform “Traditional Family Values: The Foundation of a Strong State” held at BSEU

16.10 The Belarus State Economic University hosted the dialogue platform “Traditional Family Values: The Foundation of a Strong State”. The event, organized by the Faculty of Marketing and Logistics of BSEU together with the Zavodsky District Organization of Minsk of the RPA "Belaya Rus", was timed to coincide with the Week of Parental Love currently taking place in our country.

The meeting brought together the university management, honored guests, faculty, and first-year students. The guest speakers of the open dialogue were Zumrat Gaibnazarova, an invited Professor of the Tashkent State University of Economics (Republic of Uzbekistan), Doctor of Sciences in Economics, and Senior Warrant Officer Anatoly Rukhlyansky, commander-instructor of an anti-aircraft missile system.

The participants of the platform focused on key issues: how to preserve traditional family principles in today's changing world, what role the state plays in supporting the institution of family, and what is the secret of harmonious relationships passed down from generation to generation.

The platform was opened by Olga Morozevich, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of BSEU. Addressing the first-year students who are just starting their independent university life, she emphasized that behind the desire for independence, it is crucial to maintain a deep connection with the parental home:

"I really want you to keep the understanding in your soul and mind that without a strong family, without your parents, without your grandparents, there is no future, no opportunity to move forward. I want you to always carry a warm attitude toward your loved ones in your heart, not only during the Week of Parental Love, but constantly, and strive to become parents yourselves and continue to create a strong future for our state."

The presentation by the foreign guest, Professor Zumrat Gaibnazarova, aroused great interest among the youth audience. She showcased a video about her country and spoke about how family values, care for children, and absolute respect for the older generation are woven into the daily life and mentality of the Uzbek people.

The students actively joined the dialogue, asking the guest about the balance between a successful career and motherhood, as well as how to cope with separation from loved ones. Reflecting on the value of parental support, Zumrat Gaibnazarova gave the audience a touching piece of advice:

"When we lose our parents, only then do we fully realize their true value. We begin to rethink the past: why we didn't visit one more time, why we didn't sit a bit longer, why we were in such a hurry to get home or to the children... But that's life. Therefore, if you have the opportunity, find a couple of minutes, call and say: 'Mom, I love you. Dad, I love you.' With just these two words, you will convey your love to them. And they will be happy, and so will you."

The theme of continuity and a reliable shoulder found its logical continuation in the words of Svetlana Leonenko, Chair of the Zavodsky District Organization of Minsk of the RPA "Belaya Rus". She warmly welcomed the participants and noted that youth support is built on the solid foundation of a long-term partnership:

"The Belarusian State Economic University and 'Belaya Rus' share a lot in common: it's not just joint events, campaigns, and projects, but a true friendship. And as long as we are together, as long as we are united, we are not vulnerable."

A pleasant moment of the meeting was the award ceremony: Svetlana Leonenko presented a Certificate of Honor to Svetlana Lapina, Dean of FMk, for her active life position and great personal contribution to shaping the image of the organization.

The event was held in the format of an open and trustful dialogue, during which students were able to get answers to all their questions.
