A visiting professor from Uzbekistan visited BSEU

From October 12 to 17, the Belarusian State Economic University hosted Zumrat Talatovna Gaibnazarova – Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor of the Department of Macroeconomic Policy and Forecasting at the Tashkent State University of Economics. As part of the "Visiting Professor" program, lectures for students, a round table and meetings dedicated to the exchange of experience between Belarus and Uzbekistan were held.

Zumrat Talatovna is the author of more than 180 scientific and scientific-methodological publications, a participant in international expert and scientific cooperation, and a member of the editorial boards of scientific journals in Uzbekistan and Russia. Her visit to BSEU combined the educational, scientific and cultural components of international interaction.

For students of the Faculty of Marketing and Logistics, specialty "Marketing," the professor delivered lectures on the following topics:
• "National Identity in Marketing: How to Promote Uzbek Brands on the Global Market";
• "Digital Marketing in Uzbekistan: From Social Networks to Marketplaces";
• "Marketplaces as a New Arena of Competition: The Experience of Uzbekistan and Foreign Countries."

The lectures were devoted to current trends in the development of marketing: the use of national identity in promoting brands, digital channels of interaction with consumers, and competition on electronic trading platforms. Drawing on the experience of Uzbekistan and other countries allowed the students' study material to be supplemented with international examples.

On October 14, a round table "Prospects for the Development of Science and Education in the Field of Marketing: The Experience of Belarus and Uzbekistan, Problems and Solutions" was held at the Department of Marketing. The meeting was dedicated to the exchange of scientific and pedagogical experience and to issues of the development of marketing education and research in the two countries.

The visit program also included participation in the public life of the university. On October 16, Zumrat Talatovna was an honored guest at the dialogue platform "Traditional Family Values: The Foundation of a Strong State," organized by the Faculty of Marketing and Logistics together with the Zavodskoy District Organization of Minsk of the RPO "Belaya Rus" as part of the Week of Parental Love.

The professor presented a video about Uzbekistan and spoke about the significance of family traditions, care for children and respect for the older generation in the life of the Uzbek people. Students asked questions about combining professional activity and motherhood, maintaining contact with loved ones and the value of parental support.

The visit of Zumrat Talatovna Gaibnazarova contributed to the exchange of knowledge and pedagogical experience, familiarized students with marketing practice in Uzbekistan and strengthened professional and cultural ties between representatives of the two universities.
