The republican project "Being a mom is cool! Being a dad is cool!" continues at BSEU

On October 21, Belarus State Economic University hosted an open dialogue platform, which became a continuation of the republican project "Being a mom is cool! Being a dad is cool!". The event, timed to Father's Day and the Week of Parent Family, brought together the university management, lecturers, experts, and students to discuss issues of responsible parenting. The meeting was opened by the Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work of BSEU, Sergey Ivanovich Skriba. He congratulated those present on the holiday and noted the important role of both parents in raising children. As part of the official ceremony, on behalf of the Belarusian Union of Women, letters of appreciation for professionalism, initiative, and contribution to the development of the women's movement were presented to the Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Economics Svetlana Konstantinovna Matalytskaya, Deputy Dean Tatyana Vladimirovna Prokhorenko, and Associate Professor Olga Alexandrovna Romanovich, who successfully combines teaching with raising three children.

Tatyana Vladimirovna Prokhorenko, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Law, acted as the moderator of the event, and the invited experts used specific examples to analyze the culture of family relations and shared experiences from their own family lives. Candidate of Legal Sciences Dmitry Vladimirovich Petrochenkov and mother of a large family Ekaterina Shamardina noted that modern fatherhood implies not only financial provision but also deep emotional involvement, knowledge of the child's interests, and sharing household duties. Evgenia Andreevna Balandina, a representative of the City Health Center, drew attention to the importance of the psycho-emotional climate and mutual support for the well-being of all family members. Yanina Vladimirovna Leshok, a BSEU Faculty of Law graduate, public speaking coach, and Orthodox blogger, also shared her experience, speaking about the role of trust, faith, and mutual understanding in building family relationships. In conclusion, the participants of the platform came to a common decision that the true strength of a family lies in mutual respect, responsibility, and readiness to support each other in any life situations.
