BSEU Summarizes Admissions Results for PhD and Doctoral Programs

BSEU has successfully completed its admissions campaign and held admissions for PhD (aspirantura) and doctoral (doktorantura) programs for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Based on the results of the competitive selection and admissions committee meetings, the ranks of researchers at our institution have been joined by 45 young scholars, as well as established professionals aiming to obtain the highest academic qualification.

The training of highly qualified research personnel will be carried out both at the expense of the republican budget and on a paid basis.

The institution's PhD cohort has been joined by 35 people. Their research activities cover 12 relevant scientific specialties in the economic, political science, and legal fields. Alongside the budget-funded form of study, paid study remains in demand, with 8 people enrolled on that basis. Confirmation of the university's international authority was the enrollment of citizens of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China in the PhD program.

For doctoral studies in 5 relevant specialties, 10 researchers were enrolled. Notably, as part of the export of educational services, 3 doctoral students who are citizens of the Russian Federation were admitted to the paid form of study.

Addressing the newly admitted PhD and doctoral students, Vice-Rector for Research, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Alexei Alexandrovich Bykov noted: "Enrollment in PhD and doctoral programs is a conscious choice of the path of a researcher, on which you will have to create new knowledge. The status of a PhD or doctoral student at our institution imposes a special responsibility. We expect from you deep, breakthrough research whose results will bring real benefit to the economy, law, and society. Remember that the key to a successful dissertation defense is strict self-discipline, close cooperation with your academic supervisors and scientific consultants, and constant academic inquiry. The scientific path is rarely smooth — it is always a path of doubts, trials, and painstaking work. I wish you perseverance, scientific courage, and effective work from the very first days."

Studies for the newly enrolled PhD and doctoral students officially began on November 1.

Ahead of them lies interesting research work, the preparation of scientific articles, participation in international conferences, and the defense of dissertations.
