Solemn Graduation of BSEU Postgraduate and Doctoral Students

On October 29, the Belarus State Economic University hosted a graduation ceremony for postgraduate and doctoral students who had successfully completed their research-oriented education programmes.

In a solemn setting, 21 young scholars received diplomas conferring the qualification of "Researcher," including a postgraduate student from the Department of Political Science from the People's Republic of China. Another 15 graduates were awarded conclusions from the State Attestation Commission on the successful completion of doctoral studies. These documents are not merely a certificate of the path travelled. They are official recognition of their status as independent authors and a key to new horizons in the world of big science.

The graduates of the postgraduate and doctoral programmes were addressed with words of farewell by the Vice-Rector for Research, Doctor of Economics, Professor Alexei Alexandrovich Bykov. Congratulating his young colleagues, he emphasised that a researcher's diploma and the successful completion of doctoral studies are not a finish line but a powerful start to a new stage in an academic career.

Alexei Alexandrovich wished the graduates to move confidently along their chosen path, maintain a high pace, and reach the home stretch as soon as possible — towards the defence of their candidate and doctoral dissertations. The Vice-Rector reminded them that this step would become the main professional examination, one that would bring official recognition in the scientific community.

"We sincerely congratulate you on this achievement! The university is ready to support each of you in your academic endeavours, and we will be sincerely glad to see you in our dissertation councils in your new status!" Alexei Alexandrovich concluded.

For their part, the newly minted researchers expressed deep gratitude to their academic supervisors, consultants, faculty and university administration for their comprehensive support, the experience passed on to them, the excellent conditions created for research work, and valuable guidance.

Graduates of BSEU postgraduate and doctoral programmes shared their impressions and words of appreciation.

Yulia Yuryevna Sidorenko, graduate of the doctoral programme of the Department of Taxes and Taxation: "For me, doctoral studies were a difficult but amazing time. Science is like art, where both inspiration and precise calculation matter. My doctoral journey is complete, and I want to thank from the bottom of my heart those without whom this result would have been impossible. First of all, I express my deep gratitude to the leadership of my university for their comprehensive support, trust and the creation of excellent conditions for research work. Special words of gratitude go to my academic consultant, Doctor of Economics, Professor Irina Arkadyevna Lukyanova, for her wise, sensitive mentorship, enormous patience and invaluable experience. Your support inspired me at every stage. I also sincerely thank my home department and faculty. Thank you to my colleagues for valuable advice, professional discussions and the warm, supportive atmosphere in which it was such a pleasure to grow!"

Anastasia Viktorovna Utovka, graduate of the postgraduate programme of the Department of Accounting, Analysis and Audit in Sectors of the National Economy, who presented her dissertation to the dissertation defence council during her studies: "I am proud of the opportunity to study in the postgraduate programme of the leading economic university of our country — BSEU. During my studies, I realised how important it is to set priorities correctly in order to allocate the workload effectively and manage to do everything. I am glad that this stage gave me new acquaintances, new achievements and goals. I express my deep gratitude to my academic supervisor — Doctor of Economics, Professor D.A. Pankov — for his unwavering support, motivation and wise guidance."

Anna Alexandrovna Shulgina, graduate of the postgraduate programme in Economics and Management, whose dissertation research was successfully discussed at the department and recommended for preliminary defence: "Postgraduate studies became an important stage of professional and personal growth for me. During my studies, I deepened my knowledge in my scientific field, mastered modern research methods, developed critical thinking and learned to bring work to its final result. I am confident that this experience will become a solid foundation for my future career. I express my sincere gratitude to my academic supervisor — Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Valentina Nikolaevna Ananyeva — as well as to the Department of Economics and Management for their support and fruitful cooperation. Separately, I would like to thank the staff of the Directorate for Highly Qualified Scientific Personnel for their assistance and organisational support at all stages."
