FCTI and Eurotorg company organized Hackathon #1

On May 24, students of the Faculty of Commerce and Tourism Industry took part in Hackathon #1, organized for the first time by the Faculty Dean's Office together with Evrotorg company. At the Hackathon #1 competition, students were able to measure their strengths, knowledge, show ingenuity, and also gain invaluable practical experience.

The event was held at the company's head office. Directly in the Procurement Department, students were hospitably greeted by the Deputy Head of the Department of Recruitment, Training and Development of Personnel of Eurotorg company, the Head of the School of Talents project Yulia Kalmykova, the specialist of the Personnel Training Department Olga Erokhovets and the Head of the Procurement Department of the industrial group of goods Vadim Snegir. After a welcoming speech, the FCTI students divided into 4 teams, each of which was assigned a "distinctive" color - green, yellow, pink and red.

The organizers offered the teams to solve competitive tasks, among which were:

- "Rules of negotiation", team members needed to determine the stages of negotiations in the correct sequence;
- "Dialogue", within the framework of this task, each team was offered a case, it was necessary to evaluate the result of the negotiations and reasonably offer their vision of their effective conduct;
- entertaining, interactive game "Flip the Pyramid";
- "Find a solution", the teams had to correctly solve practical problems developed by representatives of the procurement department of Eurotorg company.

The teams were given a certain amount of time to complete the tasks. As needed, each team could use the help and tips of the tutors.

The performance of the assignments was evaluated by the jury, which included 3 representatives of Eurotorg company, as well as the deputy dean of the FCTI Svetlana Lapina and the head of the student scientific and practical business incubator of the FCTI Lidia Patsay. Based on the results of completing 4 tasks, the winning team was determined - the "red" team.

All participants received valuable prizes and diplomas from Eurotorg company. The surprise of the organizers for the 3 most active participants was another gift - the opportunity to practice in the procurement department of Eurotorg company.
