Discussion platform at FCTI

On November 10, a discussion platform was held at the Faculty of Commerce and Tourism Industry as part of a public discussion of the draft Law “On the All-Belarusian People's Assembly” and “On Amending the Electoral Code of the Republic of Belarus”. The event was attended by the deputy of the Minsk City Council of Deputies of the 28th convocation, the chairman of the Pervomaiskaya district organization of Minsk, the RPO "Belaya Rus", the deputy chairman of the Republican Public Association of Veterans Sergey MAZOVKA.

Among the active participants and organizers of the meeting are the Deputy Dean of the Physicotechnical Institute, Ph.D., Associate Professor Svetlana Lapina, Doctor of Biology, Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry of Materials and Production Technologies Konstantin Saevich, Chief Editor of the Institution "Editorial Office of the Journal" New Economy "Viktor Saevich, student asset of FCTI.

During the discussion platform, Sergei Mazovka highlighted the key provisions of the draft law on the All-Belarusian People's Assembly (ANC), including the procedure for the formation and structure of the ANC, the principles of activity and powers of this body, its legal status. Particular attention was paid to the competencies, rights and obligations of delegates. According to Sergei Mazovka, delegates should be competent people with a stable civic position and not indifferent to the future of their country.

The speaker also told the audience about the main changes in the electoral legislation of our country, argued the proposals of the Central Electoral Commission and explained why they were necessary. The deputy answered the questions of interest from the student activists of the FCTI regarding the nomination and procedure for electing delegates of the National Assembly.
