Deputies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia discussed issues of scientific and educational cooperation with BSEU

November 24 BSEU was visited by the Commission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia for culture, science and education.

The guests of honor were given a short tour of the university: the delegation visited the library, the laboratory of taxes and taxation, the Center for Latin American Studies, the Confucius Room of the Belarusian State Economic University under the RICC BSU.

During the visit, a round table "Actual issues of building a common scientific space of the Union State" was held. BSEU Vice-Rector for Research Egor GUSAKOV made a report on the results of joint scientific and educational projects within the framework of the Union State, noting the following: “The educational system of both countries interacts intensively: this concerns not only the synchronization of training programs in a number of priority specialties, but also the exchange of students and holding major interuniversity events. The time has come not only to intensify interuniversity cooperation in the Union State, but also to build the education system according to common agreed principles based on the current needs of the economy of both countries and the national interests of the Union State.”

The parties discussed the prospects for further cooperation, and also exchanged thanks for the mutual interest in cooperation and a productive dialogue on science and education. Chairman of the Commission, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on the Development of Civil Society, Issues of Public and Religious Associations, People's Artist of the Russian Federation Nikolai Burlyaev presented Egor Gusakov with a symbolic gift.
