To the 90th anniversary of the BGEU: Opening of the Spartakiad of Workers

The same Monday came from which everyone wanted to resume sports. On January 23, the discovery of the university’s workers took place in the BGEU. While students are on vacation, each employee will be able to try himself in a new sport or demonstrate his skills in a beloved mini-football or volleyball, table tennis, billiards, darts, chess, swimming or dominoes.

The Spartakiad is dedicated to the anniversary of the Belarusian State Economic University-in the spring we will congratulate our alma mater on the 90th birthday. Another feature of this Spartakiad is that she returned to us after a two -year break. Maybe therefore, applications for participation from more than ten structural units have already been received. “Employees who are members of the university employees can participate. The deadlines for submitting applications this year do not have tough restrictions: you can enter the competition even on the day of the game”, said Peter Valerievich Turuntsev, chairman of the BGEU employees. The Spartakiad is popular - only from the faculty of economics and management has already submitted applications for the participation of more than forty people. “Because of the pandemic, we had to postpone the Spartakiad for two years. But now, when everyone has forced the energies, we are ready to show what we are capable of”, said Sergey Ivanovich Skiba, the vice-rector for educational work of BGEU. The first competitions were held among fans of checkers today.

All participants will receive prizes from the trade union organization, and the most sports structural unit will go on an exciting tour of Belarus!
