Science sand up - 2023

Today, people who know how to learn and know how easy and interesting it is to share information have gathered at the Faculty of Digital Economy of the Belarusian State Economic University. Just about the complex - this is how you can characterize the format of a scientific slam, which combines a scientific report and stand-up. The participants of this unusual event had to prepare a presentation, move away from academic standards and captivate listeners into the exciting world of science.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Olga Anatolyevna Morozevich addressed the participants with a welcoming speech: “I hope that today we will see an unusual and very interesting competition. Opening it is important and honorable for me, because when I headed the Council of Young Scientists, the science slam competition was everyone's favorite. I am glad that the project has received a new breath. I think today we will have an interesting conversation about science. I want to wish everyone good luck!”.

The first participant managed to show that a complex topic from an academic discipline can be presented in a simple and accessible way. Veronika Petrovskaya spoke about international financial reporting standards. Victoria Kuzmich spoke about the difference between programming languages, Pavel Radyush explained why the truth is not only in wine, Danila Romanyuk spoke about sweet geometry, Elena Rubel simply spoke about the varieties of QR codes, and Anna Chizh about inventory.

Dean of the Faculty of Digital Economy Tatyana Nikolaevna Naletskaya thanked all the participants for their bright associations and non-standard approaches in their speeches. It was evident that the preparation of the students took a long time. But, as in any competition, this one also had those whose performances were most remembered by the organizers. The third place was shared by Anna Chyzh and Victoria Kuzmich. The second place was taken by Elena Rubel, and Pavel Radyush became the winner of the science slam "Science stand up — 2023"!

The scientific slam competition will continue to gather creative young scientists of BSEU. Follow the news of the Faculty of Digital Economy and be the first to know about it!
