Belgazprombank at the Faculty of Finance and Banking: Dialogue on Digital Security
Financial Literacy Week continues! On March 22, the Department of Banking organized a meeting for the Faculty of Finance and Banking students with representatives of Belgazprombank on the topic “Digital Security of Personal Finance”.
Bank employees, category 1 economists Olga Chernikova and Svetlana Efremenko, told the students that, according to statistics, the number of crimes in the field of digital technologies is growing, and people aged 17 to 27 are one of the risk groups. In this regard, it is important to know how to safely use a bank card and why each card details matter, who and how “hunts” for card data, and how not to become a victim of fraud when making a bank transfer or payment on the Internet. The experts told about some real examples from practice, reminded the students about what vishing, skimming is, how phishing sites work.
