Chinese Culture Festival at BSEU

From March 22 to March 24, the festival of Chinese culture "One Belt - One Road" was held at the Belarusian State Economic University. This is not the first time that its goal remains unchanged: the development of relations between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China.

For several days, the participants completely immersed themselves in the festival atmosphere: they studied the art of calligraphy and painting, national cuisine, and explored the Eastern worldview. Teachers of the Department of English and Oriental Languages this year asked their colleagues and students of FMBC, FCTI to act as speakers. To speak a foreign language, you need to understand its culture and communicate with native speakers. BSEU students have such an opportunity. Luan Ying, a native speaker, FMBC Senior Lecturer, suggested that students try themselves as calligraphers and learn how to use Chinese ink brushes. Trainee teacher Yana Terletskaya told the 1st year student of FCTI about the eight main regional cuisines of China and demonstrated oriental dining etiquette. Daria Karavko, together with students, made hanging Chinese lanterns, which now adorn the Confucius office of the Republican Institute of Sinology named after. Confucius BGU. For senior students, Ekaterina Karabitskaya gave a lecture with a linguistic deepening "Conceptosphere of the Chinese-language picture of the world."

The festival helped BSEU students plunge into the boundless sea of Chinese culture and improve their cultural level.
