International project in the field of public diplomacy "Points of growth" at BSEU

On April 7, BSEU hosted a meeting with the participants of the International project in the field of public diplomacy "Points of Growth". The project from the field of public diplomacy is designed to bring together the positions of understanding between young people and the expert community.

BSEU Vice-Rector for Scientific and Methodological Work Tatyana Vladimirovna SADOVSKAYA welcomed guests from the Russian Federation (the founders of the project), BSU and the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus at our university. The meeting was held online and offline: participants from the Republic of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan joined it via video link. The guests shared their impressions of the project events, where leaders of youth organizations, young experts in the field of international relations, entrepreneurs and students analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the Eurasian Union and the Union State of Russia and Belarus, and made plans for future meetings.

The head of the initiative, director of the Institute of Russian Abroad Sergey PANTELEEV: “It is gratifying to note that Points of Growth was originally born as a joint Russian-Belarusian project, and the alliance that was its basis is today setting an example for other countries!” The first part of the project is youth-oriented, aimed at students, graduate students, young scientists who are interested in writing about integration. “We are looking for active young people in different countries who understand the essence of the processes and explain where there are problems and weaknesses,” Sergey PANTELEEV explained. “The second part of the “Points of Growth” is an expert format, where already recognized experts in the field of political science, economics and geopolitics during brainstorming sessions discuss all the problems that exist in integration entities and prepare reports that are sent to decision makers and specialized organizations,” added Alexey DZERMANT (an active participant in the Points of Growth). Project analytics are received by organizations such as the Eurasian Economic Commission, the CSTO and many others. Project participants assure that it does not go to the table, but affects the agenda.
