Information meeting of BSEU students with deputies of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus

On April 18, representatives of the Faculty of Law of the Belarusian State Economic University visited the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. Chairman of the Union of Lawyers, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Valery Vatslavovich MITSKEVICH and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on Legislation Svetlana Anatolyevna LYUBETSKAYA told the students about the history of the construction of the Government House of the Republic of Belarus, about the features of the work of the House of Representatives and about how bills are developed and adopted.

During the excursion, the students visited the Oval Hall, where the meeting of the House of Representatives was held. They managed to hear the speeches of the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Antonovich KULIK and the Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on Ecology, Nature Management and the Chernobyl Disaster Zhanna Nikolaevna CHERNYAVSKAYA. Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Borisovich PERTSOV and Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on Human Rights, Ethnic Relations and the Mass Media Liliya Stanislavovna ANANICH made presentations on the draft Law “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Mass Media””.

At the end, the participants of the event visited the museum of the House of Representatives, learned about the first chairmen of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, about the competences of the House of Representatives and the main directions of its activities, as well as about the development of legislative activity.
