Development of a digital service "Step into the profession"

The Center for Social and Humanitarian Research of the Belarusian State Economic University took part in the development of a large-scale service presented by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus at the TIBO-2023 forum.

This year, on the eve of the introductory campaign, the department intends to launch a new modern digital service - a guide to the world of professions. "Step into the profession" is integrated with the portal of the employment service. Its creation is one of the activities of the state program “Labor Market and Employment Promotion”. It will be completely free to take tests on the service that will reveal the skills and traits of the user and help you understand what profession suits him best.

The development of the Step into the Profession digital service has been underway since 2021. At the first stage, the Center for Social and Humanitarian Research of the educational institution "Belarusian State Economic University" formed sets of tests for vocational guidance of citizens, which were then tested in the labor, employment and social protection committees of Minsk and the Minsk region. In parallel, the Research Institute of Labor of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection conducted research on new approaches, structure and content of professiograms. At the second stage, the developer company completed the work on creating a software product for these sets of test tasks and carried out work on integration with the nationwide bank of vacancies, which is located on the portal of the employment service.

Testing will soon be available both anonymously, that is, without registration on the portal of the state employment service, and with the introduction of personal data.
