Accounting and Economics Faculty of Belarusian State Economic University is 90 years old

One of the oldest faculties of BSEU celebrated its 90th anniversary on May 12. First, the Faculty of Economic Accounting of the Belarusian State Order of the Red Banner of Labor of the Institute of National Economy. Kuibyshev, and later the Accounting and Economics Faculty of the Belarusian State Economic University has trained more than 23 thousand specialists in its history. After so many years, not only the demanded specialties of the faculty, teachers and scientific base remain at their best, but talented students who throughout the evening delighted the audience with their creativity.

When the sounds of the waltz were invited on a historical journey through the main events of the faculty, AEF dean Vladimir Antonovich BEREZOVSKY rose to the stage to greet everyone. “Our university is celebrating its 90th anniversary these spring days. History decreed that the AEF was among the first five of its faculties, - reminded Vladimir Antonovich. - The most important event of this time was the creation and development of the scientific and pedagogical school of accounting, analysis of economic activity, control, revision and audit, the founder of which was our professor Nikolai Vladislavovich DEMBINSKY. He laid the entire basis of scientific theories, the foundation of human resources, which my colleagues and I support and develop. Imagine, our faculty trained 2388 graduates of the 1st and 2nd stages only in 2018-2022! Students have always been our priority - we, the audience, the stage, the dormitories revolved around them ... And today we will sum up the intermediate results of our work and see the generation of those for whom students are real. Let's see and love." A series of congratulations awaited the guests of the festive evening. And vice-rectors for scientific and educational work Egor Vladimirovich GUSAKOV and Olga Anatolyevna MOROZEVICH were the first to congratulate the faculty on behalf of the BSEU administration and on their own behalf. They noted the rich history of the faculty, a large number of its achievements and wished all employees not to stop there: “I am sure that your faculty has a bright future,” Olga Anatolyevna wished.

For 90 years, AEF has provided quality education and helped students realize their potential. Among the graduates of the faculty are ministers, prominent statesmen, businessmen and excellent accountants. The faculty is proud of its graduates who work in almost all spheres of life in our country. But, as you know, strengthening the national economy and improving the efficiency of business entities is impossible without scientific research in the areas of accounting. At the faculty, the scientific and pedagogical school of accounting, analysis of economic activity, control, revision and audit operates under the guidance of doctors of economic sciences, professors Polina Yakovlevna PAPKOVSKAYA and Dmitry Alekseevich PANKOV. On this day, they also congratulated colleagues from the stage. “We are the successors of traditions and try to do everything in our power so that the scientific school is updated and replenished with new personnel. Over the past 20 years, we have trained about 200 scientists, - said Dmitry Alekseevich. "I think it's a good result."

The following graduates came to congratulate their faculty and graduates: the head of the main department for the regulation of accounting, reporting and audit of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus Tatyana Nikolaevna RYBAK and the Chairman of the Board of the Audit Chamber of the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Ivanovich SYCH. Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor of the Department of Accounting, Analysis and Audit of the Financial University of the Russian Federation Natalya Vladimirovna MALINOVSKAYA also came to congratulate the faculty on the anniversary. But not all graduates were able to attend that day in the assembly hall - many recorded video messages that were shown from the stage. They remembered the years of study, their favorite teachers and thanked for their knowledge - congratulations and wishes of prosperity flew to UEF from all over the country. The management of the faculty paid special attention to those who have worked for decades and glorified the faculty, and now are on a well-deserved rest, and those who are always ready to accept our students for work, internship or practice.

Deputy deans Andrey Leonidovich BUEV and Olga Vladimirovna MALINOVSKAYA joined the congratulations of their native faculty: “Behind 90 years of victories and awards. We have something and someone to be proud of. First of all, it is the labor collective that stood at the origins of the faculty,” Andrey Leonidovich noted. “Thank you to the students who put a piece of their soul into the state in which the teachers are every day. Thanks to you, we are always young at heart!” - summed up Olga Vladimirovna.

On this bright note, the anniversary concert dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the AEF came to an end. Thanks to the organizers and guests of the evening for the kind words and congratulations!
