Active participation is the key to success: meeting with freshmen

As part of the Freshman Month, the BSEU management holds meetings with 1st year students, who are gradually getting acquainted with the life of the university. It was the turn of the Faculty of Accounting and Economics - on September 22, Vice-Rector for Educational Work Sergei SKRIBA met with the students.

Sergei Skriba introduced the leadership of BSEU to the students, reminded the students of such important things as strict adherence not only to the established internal rules at the university and on campus, but also basic politeness towards teachers and their friends.

The vice-rector specifically focused on the issue of crime prevention and careful attention to information received from Internet sources. In addition, the issue of patriotic education was raised. Sergei Skriba emphasized how important it is to take part in events dedicated to key holiday dates of the Republic of Belarus - as it turned out, many children had already managed to join the atmosphere of National Unity Day in Minsk last weekend. According to the speaker, grandiose festive events in the capital of Belarus are definitely worth attending and involving your classmates! The vice-rector also recalled the upcoming Unified Voting Day in 2024, in which children will be able to take part upon reaching adulthood.

The secretary of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union of Belarusian State Economic University, a student of the Faculty of Accounting and Economics, Matvey Boreisha, and the head of the student club, Irina Dorokhova, also spoke with the first-year students, who told the youngest students in detail how they can spend their leisure time interestingly and usefully at the university. The guys were very interested in the wide range of opportunities that BSEU provides for students: from part-time work in construction teams to volunteering, from participation in the largest creative competitions (such as “BSEU Student of the Year-2023”, which will take place on October 10) to traveling to the sights of Belarus , which have been organizing vocational education programs for BSEU students for several years now.

“Four years will pass very quickly, and I wish you to spend your student life, first of all, actively and participate in all university events!” - Sergei Skriba admonished the freshmen.
