Snow and ice: the BSEU delegation took part in the XVI International Student Sculpture Competition in Harbin

From January 4 to January 7, 2024, the XVI International Student Sculpture Competition was held at the Harbin Engineering University (Harbin, China). The event, which has already become a good tradition, is dedicated to the aesthetics of snow and ice and promotes communication between students from all over the world. Participants in the competition have a unique opportunity to visit Harbin and get acquainted with its culture and traditions.

The Republic of Belarus was represented at the competition by the team of the Belarusian State Economic University. The team includes students of the Faculty of Economics and Management Vladislav Kozyritsky (3rd year), Anastasia Taradeeva (3rd year), Kirill Nebylov (3rd year), as well as 2nd year student of the Faculty of Finance and Banking Egor Bulakh. The head of the delegation is Nadezhda Ryzhko, deputy head of the department of educational work with youth.

The Belarusian team presented to the jury a sculpture of the National Library of the Republic of Belarus, which is a work of architectural art and one of the symbols of our country.

Participation in the competition allowed Belarusian students to demonstrate their creative abilities, establish communication and exchange experiences with participants from other countries, and acquire new knowledge and practical experience. Thanks to the organizers of the event, the Belarusian delegation visited the excursion program of the World of Snow and Ice festival, got acquainted with the history and sights of the city of Harbin, and took part in other cultural events.

Based on the results of meetings between representatives of the Belarusian and Chinese sides, promising areas of cooperation between the Belarusian State University of Economics and Harbin Engineering University were identified.
