“Quality is a habit”: meeting with the head of the State Financial Institution of the Minsk City Executive Committee

On January 26, a meeting was held between the head of the Main Financial Directorate of the Minsk City Executive Committee, Tatyana ASTREYKO, and BSEU students, dedicated to the Year of Quality.

Like many financial management employees, Tatyana Astreyko is a graduate of our university. “I am proud of my education and the work that I do, and I sincerely love it,” Tatyana Astreyko shared with the students, talking about her career path. As a specialist and leader with extensive experience, the speaker talked with future graduates of a leading economic university about how the budget is formed, what taxes are spent on, how the state helps citizens; She specifically focused on the issue of financing the medical sector during the coronavirus pandemic and explained why the Belarusian economy managed to survive during that difficult period when countries around the world, one after another, declared a lockdown. “The budget of our capital is stable and, in addition, is a guarantor of macroeconomic stability of the entire republic,” noted Tatyana Astreyko.

The participants asked a lot of questions: both as interested specialists and as ordinary citizens. In turn, Tatyana Astreyko dwelt in detail on employment opportunities at the Minsk City Executive Committee and subordinate organizations, noting that such work in constant interaction with business entities and the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired at the university is an excellent start for BSEU graduates.
