Folk song ensemble "Gorlitsa" represented BGEU at the international festival "Light of Traditions"

From February 16 to 18, the folk song ensemble "Gorlitsa" took part in the international student festival of folk culture "Light of Traditions" at the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture Ilya Glazunov.

For two days, the academy hosted a folk festival filled with a lively exchange of creative experience, impressions, knowledge and love for traditions.

The concert program featured unique student groups, whose leaders have dedicated many years to the professional study of folk culture.

The folk song ensemble "Gorlitsa" of BGEU immersed the audience in the ancient rites of Belarusian peasants - harvest and wedding, reviving for those present the Belarusian village, with all its color and sound.

The second day of the festival was immersed in the research and practical aspects of traditional culture. The head of St. Petersburg State University Ekaterina Golovkina gave a lecture on the Pinega folk costume, based on the materials of student ethnographic expeditions. The participants were given excursions.
