Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia at BSEU

On April 2, a celebration of the two brotherly nations took place – the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia.

The holiday serves as a reminder of the unity, mutual assistance, and values uniting the peoples of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

As part of the celebration, students from the Faculty of Law of BSEU, together with the Regional Consumers Protection Society, held a dialogue platform on the topic "Unified Competition Rules and Consumer Rights Protection for the Union State."

The event was attended by representatives of the Regional Consumers Protection Society, including Anastasia Valeryevna Rudak and Maria Artyomovna Pozdnyakova, as well as judicial expert Viktor Sergeevich Kostiukovich from the Center for Economic and Technical Expertise LLC.

On December 6, 2024, the Decree of the Supreme State Council of the Union State No. 6 "On Unified Rules in the Field of Consumer Rights Protection" came into effect.
Citizens of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, as consumers, received equal protection of their rights, allowing them to contact authorized organizations and courts on equal terms within the territories of both states.

Students delved into relevant topics:
- Consumer rights protection when purchasing goods on online platforms (Shevko I.)
- Main issues when selling goods to consumers through online platforms (Kisel D.)
- Unified consumer rights protection rules: what will change in the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation (Lazarenko A.)

During the event, staff from the Regional Consumers Protection Society organized effective communication and shared practical experiences.

The attendees expressed their gratitude to the organizers for the engaging event and discussed strategies for further fruitful cooperation.
