National Unity Day Celebrated at BSEU

The Belarusian State University of Economics celebrated National Unity Day, a holiday symbolizing cohesion, intergenerational continuity, and love for the Motherland. On this day, the university became a platform for numerous initiatives.

The festive morning began with a morning of exercise organized at the Faculty of Law, where faculty and students participated alongside the students. The day continued with a festive concert and the planting of the Alley of Unity, a living symbol of intergenerational continuity and the connection between times. As part of the "Belarus – Country of Unity" quest cruise, participants took an interactive journey through the country's regions, discovering the richness of its history and traditions.

Belarusian culture also took center stage at the Faculty of International Business Communications, where a quiz was held featuring questions about writers, symbols, and customs. The "Unity Puzzle" quiz, in which students assembled a map of Belarus, demonstrating their knowledge of geography and cultural heritage, generated particular interest.

The Faculty of Social Sciences and Economics hosted the "Unity in Hearts" quest, which included stations with tasks testing their knowledge of the country's language, culture, and image. A key event was the roundtable discussion "September 17: My Contribution to the Unity and Prosperity of Belarus," where students and faculty shared personal reflections on the significance of the holiday. Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work Sergei Ivanovich Skriba delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of civic responsibility and patriotism.

The Faculty of Economics and Management contributed to the greening of the university grounds by planting junipers—a symbol of longevity and resilience. Students also attended the play "Khatyn" at the Republican Theater of Belarusian Drama, immersing themselves in the tragic pages of history and reflecting on the value of peace and unity. The Faculty of Marketing and Logistics organized a tour of the Museum of Modern Belarusian Statehood, where students learned about the stages of Belarus's independence. The Faculty of Accounting and Economics held a thematic quiz, allowing participants not only to test their knowledge but also to gain a deeper understanding of the historical significance of National Unity Day.

The eventful day concluded with the participation of BSEU representatives in a large-scale forum of patriotic forces at the Sports Palace.
