BSEU Students Meet with the Chairman of the State Customs Committee
On September 17, a meeting between students and Vladimir Nikolaevich Orlovsky, Chairman of the State Customs Committee, was held at the Belarusian State University of Economics.
Vladimir Nikolaevich spoke in detail about the specifics of working in customs authorities, emphasizing the importance of this service for the country's economic security. He shared practical examples, discussed the current challenges faced by customs officers, and discussed how technology contributes to the improvement of control procedures and their effectiveness. Students had the opportunity to ask questions regarding their career paths, requirements for specialists, and the industry's development prospects.
One of the outcomes of the meeting was a discussion of new forms of cooperation between BSEU and the State Customs Committee. It was proposed to organize on-site practical training sessions and expand opportunities for students to complete internships in customs departments. These initiatives are aimed at providing future specialists with a deeper understanding of the profession and preparing them for real-world work conditions. The meeting was a shining example of how dialogue between educational institutions and government agencies can lead to concrete steps to improve personnel training.
