A meeting of the Council of Curators was held at BGEU

On April 7, a regular meeting of the Council of Curators was held at the Belarusian State University of Economics. During the meeting, participants discussed current issues of student psychological health, cybercrime prevention, and organizational aspects of ideological and educational work.

The meeting was opened by Sergei Ivanovich Skriba, Vice-Rector for Educational Work at BGEU. In his welcoming remarks, he emphasized the particular importance of the work of a curator in the current environment, noting that the curator serves as the link between the university and the student. Sergei Ivanovich wished the participants a constructive dialogue and fruitful work, and expressed confidence that the topics discussed will help improve the effectiveness of interactions with young people.

Dmitry Sergeevich Sennikov, an educational psychologist at the Republican Center for Psychological Assistance at the Institute of Psychology at the Maxim Tank Belarusian State Pedagogical University, presented a report entitled "Factors of Student Psychological Health." An expert highlighted key aspects of the emotional state of young people and provided recommendations to curators on maintaining a positive climate in study groups.

Maxim Olegovich Tsyrynsky, an investigator with the Sovietsky District Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Belarus (Minsk), spoke about the rules for protecting against theft of property through the modification of computer information. Particular attention was paid to typical fraud schemes and the legal consequences of committing crimes in the digital sphere.

Denis Nikolaevich Vaskov, Head of the Institute of Information Systems and Management at BGEU, presented a report on the planning of curatorial work for the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The presentation included a detailed analysis of typical errors made when preparing plans and maintaining curator logs. Denis Nikolaevich provided methodological recommendations for improving the documentation of the educational process.
Meeting participants were reminded of the traditional university competitions:
• "Best Curator of a Study Group." Please note the changes to the Competition Regulations. The application deadline is April 20, 2026.
• "Best Study Group." The application deadline is April 30, 2026.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of opinions and answers to questions from the curators regarding improving the methods of working with student youth.
