The final round of the "Best Student Research Laboratory - 2026" competition was held at BGEU

On April 7, the final round of the annual "Best Student Research Laboratory (SSRL) of BGEU - 2026" competition was held as part of the 16th University Decade of Student Science "Youth in Science and Business - 2026."
The competition aims to support proactive youth and develop research activities at the university. This year, 21 laboratories competed for the title of best. Participants presented projects to the expert committee covering a wide range of current economic, legal, and social issues.
The competition's significance was enhanced by the participation of not only leading BGEU scientists and faculty members but also invited experts—representatives of the business community and partner organizations. This approach allowed for the evaluation of student projects not only for their academic depth but also for their practical applicability in today's market conditions. The jury noted the teams' high level of preparation: all submitted projects met the strict competition requirements, were relevant, and had a distinctly practical focus. The experts faced a difficult choice, as each project was vying for high marks.
Following the qualifying round, 11 of the strongest projects advanced to the finals. The final round included a public defense: teams were given no more than 7 minutes to present their ideas, after which they answered the jury's clarifying questions for 5 minutes.
Results were summarized in several categories, including the main award—the title of "Best Scientific Research Laboratory of BGEU - 2026." Furthermore, based on the public presentations, the jury reserved the right to recognize the finalists' work in special categories for outstanding achievements in scientific research.
The awards ceremony will take place on April 16, the closing day of the University Decade of Student Science "Youth in Science and Business - 2026." The SNIL competition once again confirmed that student research at BGEU is a space for bold ideas and real solutions for business and government.
